As the Cooperation Memo of Yiwu Supervision & Demonstration Zone for Exported Ornaments was signed by Yan Zhen, head of Zhejiang Entry-exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau who represents Zhejiang Entry-exit Inspection & Quorantine Bureau and He Meihua, acting mayor of Yiwu municipal government, China's first supervision & demonstration zone for exported ornaments was officially established in Yiwu.
As a creative step in export supervision,Yiwu supervision & demonstration zone for exported ornaments is the first one in the field of ornaments entitled by China Entry-exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau. In December of 2006, an investigating group on Zhejiang Yiwu exported ornaments made up of members of General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection & Quarantine of the people's Republic of China came to Yiwu to investigate Yiwu exported ornaments manufacturers and the supervision & inspection of exported ornaments. In only two weeks, the creatve supervision mode was admitted by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection & Quarantine of the People's Republic of China.
In recent years, Yiwu's ornaments industry has developed rapidly with more than 3800 factories and 150,000 employees.Ornaments produced in Yiwu are exported to more than 170 countries and regions such as Europe, America, Japan and Middle East countries. The quality of Yiwu's exported ornaments is vital for the credit of China ornaments. So it is absolutely necessary to have regional administration for the export of ornaments.
