Sources from Yiwu Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau say that in 2007 Yiwu International Chamber of Commerce has organized participations in 37 international exhibitions, which involved 226 enterprises taking 332 booths. The volume of intent transaction reaches around 0.5 billion USD, ranking first among all county-level cities in China. The products made in Yiwu were shown all around the world.
In 2007, Yiwu enterprises participated in 8exhibitons held in Middle-east, Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Latin Amercia, Eastern Europe and so on, with 60 booths, such as India International Trade Fair, Beauty World Middle East , Escolaarpaper Brazil.
Most Yiwu enterprises exhibiting abroad specialize in beauty products, paper, stationery,clothes and accessories, gifts and consumer commodities. The exhibitions at which Yiwu hass shared larger number of booths were Christmas World, Beauty world, Paper World in Middle East, Summer Sourcing Show for Gifts House ware & Toys in Hong Kong,CPD,ISOT and so on. From January to October of 2007, the self-managed export trade volume of Yiwu reached 1.385 billion USD, an increase of 17.4% over the same period of the previous year. Exhibiting abroad not only brings business opportunities to Yiwu, but also enhances Yiwu's influence and fame in the world.
