As an important part of Yiwu market system, the new non-staple food market,approved by Yiwu municipal Party Committee and Yiwu municipal government on August,2006,is invested and built by Yiwu Agriculture Economy Development Co.,Ltd . It’s learned that the new non-staple food market covers a floor area of 32,622 . 42 and boasts a total building area of over 148,000 ,which takes an investment of 280 million yuan . The layout of the new market takes the shape of a rectangle,
with a 3-storey main hall,some 5-storey building and an underground structure . Wu Junxiong,the assistant manager of Yiwu Agricultural Products Trade City said that "The 2147 booths will be all distributed by lot on August 16 and 17 . Dealers decorate their final booths on 18 and 19,and the decoration work should be finished before 20 to make sure the new non-staple food market is to be used among the Yiwu Fair ."
