New exhibition hall of China Import and Export Fair brought into use
On the morning of November 3 , the opening ceremony of the new exhibition hall of China Import and Export Fair(Canton Fair)washeld in the new exhibition hall of the 104th Canton Fair . It waslearned that the initial use of the newly-built exhibition hall in District C in this fair indicated the completion of the integral relocation of Canton Fair’sexhibition halls .
According to statistics,30 yearsago ,the exhibition area of Canton Fair wasonly 130,000 !, which attracted 18,000 exhibitorsand dealers and achieved a turnover of US$1 . 88 billion . 30 years later ,the 103 rd Canton Fair last year attracted 192 , 000 exhibitorsand dealerswith an export turnover of US$ 38 . 23 billion . With the new exhibition hall put into use in the 104th Canton Fair ,itsexhibition area hasreached 1 . 131 million !. It isintroduced that the construction of the first phase of the fair ’snew exhibition hall started on April 6 ,2001 . The first ,second and third phase of the exhibition hall correlate with District A,B, and C in the exhibition hall respectively . The area of the new exhibition hall’sbuilding cluster is 820,000 !,itstotal building coverage is 1 . 10 million !and itsexhibition area is340 ,000 !
