U.S.Toy Safety Standards Will Be Implement in June

  Following the EU's implementation of the new version of the Toy Safety Directive, the United States will implement the new toy safety standards.
    Yesterday, reporter learned from the national daily commodity quality supervision and inspection center, the toys U.S. ASTM International Committee has formally promulgated on December 15, 2011, the newly revised toy safety standard F963-11, and formally notified the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission will have 90 days to review and decide whether to accept the revised toy standard. If the Consumer Product Safety Commission agreed ASTMF963-11 standard will replace the 2008 version of the mandatory safety standards for toys, and after 180 days from June 12, 2012.

    The national daily Commodity Quality Supervision and Inspection Center Toy Testing experts have warned that the city's exports to the EU, the U.S. toy companies should pay close attention to the safety requirements of the new standards abroad, to improve production technology, to avoid unnecessary losses.
