On May 2 6 ,European Journalists Reporting Group of Linking Zhejiang came to Yiwu. This group consisted of 23 journalists from Germany,Sweden,Italy, Hungary,and Spain . After their visit to Yiwu International Trade City and Langsha Group,they interviewed some foreign businessmen working in Yiwu.
At 5 o'clock,"Linking Zhejiang" Symposium was held in Xinlian Hotel. After a briefing on Yiwu conomy given by Pan Wenfeng, member of the Municipal CPC Standing Committee,and chief of the Publicity Department,the journalists began to ask questions .
1、Question from Hungary journalist: What does "commodity index" refer to in Pan's introduction?
Answered by Fu Zhimin,vice mayor of Yiwu: Yiwu Index was first officially announced in October of 2006 . It is a comprehensive index mainly reflecting the trend of price changes in Yiwu commodity market and the prosperity state of market. Although it is now still in its early stage, it plays an important part in the development of the commodities market in China,even in the world .
