Yiwu trailer pick-up transport in first batch of nationalpilot projects
The trailer pick-up transport program of Yiwu inland port has passed the joint assessment by the Ministry of Transport and the National Development and Reform Commission recently, thus becoming one of the first 26 trailer pick-up transport projects in China.
Trailer pick-up transport refers to the way of shipping in which a trailer reaches a freight yard to unload its goods that are transported further ahead by another trailer. This way of transport can greatly improve the service efficiency of trailers. As the biggest commodities distribution center, Yiwu port had an export volume of 700, 000 TEU last year. All the containers have to be transported to related ports and it takes much time in loading and waiting.
Therefore, it is of great significance to develop trailer pick-up transport in Yiwu.
