Fujian Umbrella Hall,located on the first floor of F1 Area of the International Trade City,was ceremoniously opened to customers recently . Covering 300 sqmeters , this hall deals in various umbrellas and sunshades . Presently,there are 12 umbrella enterprises doing business in this hall,all from Dongshi Town,Jinjiang City,Fujian Province .
Well-known as China’s Umbrella Capital, Dongshi Town is the largest umbrella production base and export distributing center . Here, about 27,000 people are engaged in various jobs related to umbrella industry,producing or selling middle and top quality umbrellas .
Dongshi has many scale enterprises and boasts a group of famous brands . It is learned that there are nearly 500 umbrella-making factories
and 80% of their products are exported to more than 100 countries and regions like the North America,western Europe,the Middle East,Japan and Korea . The industry has formed its own colony in Dongshi, with a complete chain that includes such links as materials,machinery,accessories, assemble lines,package,marketing and after-sale service .
