“This i s the second time that we have participated in Yiwu Cultural Fair . We plan to show Korean culture comprehensively in this fair and we have made good preparations,”said He Xianfeng in an exclusive interview,who is the cultural consul and president of cultural institute in the Consulate-General of Korea in Shanghai .
2009 China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair is the fourth one . After having set an international exhibition area in the previous fair, this year the fair is going to have much richer contents in this exhibition area . The section of Korean culture includes two main parts - display and experience ,which will be one of the highlights .
He Xianfeng introduced that the arts and crafts to be shown in the fair had not appeared in Yiwu market before, such as colorful satin purse and lacquer box. According to him, this time they will have a live show by a group of 20 dancers to display Korean folk music and dance with original musical instruments like long drum on the platform for opening ceremony or in the exhibition hall .
Korean businessmen have a close relationship with Yiwu and there are about 5,000 Korean traders living permanently here . The handicrafts and ornaments Koreans use mainly come from Yiwu market .
