Overall Goal for YWITC

Yiwu International Trade City(YITC) covers a total area of 32.68 square kilometers including a market area of 257,816 square meters.
Its overall goal : to build a world Trade City with the construction of ITC as a turning point.
Its target: to establish an  international trade city into a three dimensional image of high city quality and attractive beauty through the interaction of internationalization, urbanization, modernization and industrialization."
Its environment and industry are to be regarded as an internationalized image of Yiwu City.
It is to take the international trde city as a carrier to rrebuild the urban human spirit and poen yourself to embrace the whole world.
It is to readjust the industrial structure target of " relying on tertiary industry to help second industry and promote first industry".

Fist Phase Market of the International Trade City

Founded in October 2001, the first phase of the International Trade City was put into operation on 22 October, 2002. The market occupies 420 Mu, including a building area of 340,000 square meters. It is divided into five main business sections: the market center, manufacturers' direct selling center, shopping center, warehousing center and catering center. There are more than 9,000 standard booths, each of which covers 9 square meters, and over 10,000 business dealers. They mainly sell floers, toys, ornaments, arts& crafts and others.
There is a Direct Selling center for small and medium manufacturers of the nation and a Taiwan Hall. In 2002, the International Trade City (Phase I) was entitled as a "Five-star Maket" by Zhejiang Provincial  Administration for Industry & Commerce.

Second Phase Market of the International Trade City

With a total investment of over 4 billion yuan, the second phase of the International Trade City was founded in October, 2003, and has been running since September, 2005. It covers a construction area of 1,400,000 square meters with 17,000 standard booths and 20,000 dealers. They mainly sell suitcases & bags, umbrellas and raincoats: hardware tools & fittings, electrical products, locks and vehicles; kitchenware & sanitary ware, small home appliances, telecom facilities, watches & clocks, electronic instruments & equipment, cultural products, sport products, cosmetics, eyeglasses, xippers, buttons and apparel accessories etc.There is a manufacturer direct selling center and special halls such as HK Hall, Korean Hall, Sichuan Hall, Anhui Hall, and Hetian Hall. There is a tourism & shopping center with an area of over 10,000 square meters and with a number of service organizations such as banks, restaurants, logistics, post office and telecom companies. In addition, there is an affiliated building for commercial affairs, a three-star hotel and a four-star hotel.
