On the early morning of September 18,despite the fall drizzle,Wang Hong sheng and Feng Caizhi,a couple from Yiwu's Pengcheng Residential Quarter,hurried to the food for the celebration of some joyous occasion.
On that day,the couple undertook a tough job under contract with Yiwu Municipal Baizi Lanterns for the 16th Yiwu Country Culture Festival to be held in Shangxi town from November 15 to November 18.Baizi Lantern enjoys great fame in Fotang Town,with a long history of 600 years.It is regarded as a representative of Jinhua intangible cultural heritages of the first batch,characterized by its unique design,brilliant colors,and relatively small size.Wang hong sheng aimed to makke two large fancy lanterns and 16 small Baizi Lanterns for the exhibition. So he asked all his family members for help, and even made a very clear division in the work:he will make the two large lanterns with his wife, while the 16 small lanterns with his wife,while the 16 small lanterns will be made by their daughte Wang Haiyan and her husband Wu Jianwei,their grandson Wang Weitao,and granddaughter Wu Jiaxiu.
